Okocha & Okocha is a Firm of Legal Practitioners, duly registered in 1983 in compliance with the appropriate legislation in the Federal Republic of Nigeria regulating business organisations and legal practice.

It is strategically located in the heart of Port Harcourt City, along the Port Harcourt - Aba Expressway (an inter-State highway). Significant landmarks within a short walk from the office include the five-star Hotel Presidential, the Federal Government Secretariat Complex, Le Meridien Hotel, Port Harcourt Polo Club, and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Office Complex. Built by the British administration in 1912, Port Harcourt is the Capital of Rivers State, and the seat of Nigeria’s booming oil and gas industry and other major industrial and commercial organisations. It has an international airport, a domestic airport, and a major seaport.

The Firm’s areas of practice include general litigation; oil and gas law (particularly in the area of compensation for land and property adversely affected by oil exploration and incidental activities); property law; company law; employment law; and arbitration.

He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (the highest professional rank of Legal Practitioners in Nigeria), a former Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice of Rivers State, Past President of the Nigerian Bar Association, and life Member of the Body of Benchers which is charged with the statutory responsibility of admitting Lawyers to the Nigerian Bar, among numerous other professional appointments. Mr Okocha was awarded the distinguished National Honour of Member, Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR) in 2004.
